WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It was a colorful day on UNCW’s campus as runners in the Color Me Rad 5k made their way through rainbows of colored cornstarch, and on to the finish line.
Even some of the WWAY crew got on their running shoes to take part in the fun.
We caught up with WWAY's Good Morning Carolina Meteorologist Tim Buckley during the race for his thoughts on the colorful fun.
"It's crazy,” Buckley said. “I mean you're running through all this cloud of pink and dust and stuff. You can't even hardly breathe, but it's so much fun. And you know, what else can you do on a Sunday? It's great."
Other racers decked out in rad decorations donned their wildest outfits, and showed off their brightest colors all the way to the finish line.
