Honor service members and their families at Run For The Warriors

JACKSONVILLE, NC (WWAY) — This month, you can help bring hope and support to service members, veterans and military families at the 13th Annual Run For The Warriors Jacksonville.

Run For The Warriors is a national race series working to bring communities together to honor our service members. Proceeds from the runs go to Hope For The Warriors, an organization with programs that assist wounded and fallen service members and their families. Hope For The Warriors provides support programs focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connections to community resources.

On Saturday, May 19, participants of all ages and abilities can come together at Jacksonville High School for the event. There is a half marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-mile run/walk, adaptive cycling half marathon and adaptive cycling 10K. The event kicks off at 7 a.m. Registration is available in advance or the morning of. If you plan to register on the day of the event, it’s recommended you arrive early.
